REMINDER to anyone who coaches, volunteers or has any regular contact in any capacity with the children at Our Lady of Victory:
Before you can begin coaching, volunteering, etc., you must meet the requirements of the Archdiocesan Child Protection policy.
The requirements are:
- you must attend a Child Protection Workshop
- you must be fingerprinted
- the parish receives an approval letter from the Archdiocese. Please note that it could take two to four weeks for us to receive fingerprinting results.
- If you have lived out of the state at any time over the past five years, you must complete an FBI check.
You will not be permitted to volunteer with children until this process is completed. St. Teresa of Avila, 1175 Overlook Avenue (Rectory House on Overlook) offers fingerprinting, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and on the second Thursday of the month from 5 to 6:45 p.m. After the process is completed, you will receive an ID card, which must be presented on the spot upon request.
Beginning July 1, St. Teresa will offer fingerprinting, Monday-Friday, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday only 9 - 10 a.m. and every 2nd Thursday from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m.
