New threats to religious liberty - Recently, President Obama’s administration and the Department of Health and Human Services have drawn a “line in the sand” refusing to acknowledge the conscience rights of those opposed to abortion, contraception and sterilization in regards to health care.  The U.S. bishops have expressed grave concern about this, because this decision affects not only the Church but all citizens.  To read Archbishop Schnurr's statement, statement from Fr. Reutter and statements from the USCCB please, click here

Parish Elections - The nomination tear-outs will be in Church this weekend February 25/26 for Parish Council, Education, Worship, Peace and Justice and Pro-Life/Pro-Family commissions.  If interested in serving your parish and contributing to one of these commissions please complete one of the tear-outs this weekend.  Elections are scheduled for April 7 and 8th.

2012-2013 Registration forms  - forms are now available, please

New altar - On Saturday, March 17, we will be privileged to have Archbishop Schnurr celebrate the 4:30 Mass here at Victory and consecrate our new altar during that Mass.  To see an artist's rendition of what the sanctuary will look like with the new altar, please click here.

Medicine Packing - Unfortunately, because of the tremendous ongoing violence, the Sudan Mission scheduled for Feb. 22 - March 6 has been postponed until the fall of 2012.  As a result, the Peace and Justice Medication Packing Night scheduled for Monday, Feb. 6 has been canceled.

March for Life - Recently the nation observed the 38th annual “March for Life” in Washington, D.C., to pray and protest against the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion for virtually any reason at virtually any time during pregnancy.  Each year, there is a Mass at the National Catholic Shrine to pray for the unborn and for those defending life.  Read the homily
here of Cardinal DiNardo, archbishop of Houston and the secretary for the U.S. Bishops’ Pro-Life Commission.

A Vision for Catholic Schools - Under the leadership of new Catholic schools superintendent Dr. Jim Rigg, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati is preparing to assist school throughout the diocese by creating a common vision for Catholic education.  After several months of efforts, the information gathering phase has just been completed, and the Archdiocese has just released a detailed and comprehensive report on the current state of that education.  If you are interested in reading that report or a summary of it, click here.
